A long ambition to own a historic Inn and a passion for great cask ale resulted in Julian taking over the helm at Bearslake Inn three years ago. If you want to know more about the Inn's history or any local knowledge then Julian is the man (if you can catch him that is).

As Julian's better half (as she is better know around the Inn), Lisa has a strong background in tourism and runs Dartmoor accommodation in her spare time. She always insists it was a natural progression for a gin and Dartmoor lover to run one of the National Parks most picturesque Inn's.

Our pub dog Poppy was the real boss at the Inn and a character in her own right. She was a 16 1/2yo West Highland Terrier and liked nothing more than a good scruffle and a sleep. She still has her own Instagram page despite sadly passing in January 2023 and has left a big hole in our hearts.

Our Pub Dad as he is known is in charge of our Bar & Hotel guests. Ian is a devout Wolves supporter but we don't hold that against him! He is the husband to Linda and Dad to Chloe and Finley so you will get to meet all the family during your stay

Linda is our Restaurant supervisor and loves making sure all our guests have a fantastic experience. She has many years of experience in the hospitality industry and loves good food and wine!

Keeping it the family, Chloe is Ian and Lindas daughter, she works part time at the Inn as she is also studying to become a teacher. Having just turned 18 she is enjoying sampling our wide range of local gins
