Trainee/apprentice level Chef

At Bearslake Inn we are always looking to add talented individuals to our small and professional team. With the summer season in full swing and our rooms and restaurant tables looking busy we are looking to add another kitchen pirate to our team. This role will require a successful candidate to have a positive attitude to working within hospitality and all that that encompasses.
 
Due to the nature of this role we do not expect candidates to have previous experience but are open to talking about how we can help them start a journey into hospitality at Bearslake Inn.

Sous Chef

We are looking to recruit a competent sous to our kitchen team to help us consistently deliver our fresh, seasonal, and local food ethos in our Dartmoor Thatched Inn.

We currently have no awards, accolades, or external pressures other than those that we set for ourselves. We are a young and ambitious team and we hope that you may be the last piece in the Bearslake puzzle

We hope any applicant has a passion for food and hospitality and will help us to achieve our goals and gain recognition within the food industry. A successful applicant must have a strong hospitality background with qualifications and experience in a similar role. We would consider someone looking for a step up into the role, but you must have a proven track record and show strong career succession in previous job roles.

Currently we open 5 days per week (lunch and dinner) - Weds through to Sunday, we are a family owned pub with a great team so we like to retain a good work/life balance

Salary for this role is negotiable but will be between £26-£32K per annum (plus tips and staff benefits) and dependant on the right candidate proving their worth to our small family owned business.

Experience is a must and the right attitude towards work and standards is key

Commis Chef / Chef de Partie

At Bearslake Inn we are always looking to add talented individuals to our small and professional team.  This role is a full time role and not just seasonal work!
 

We are looking to recruit a competent Commis Chef to our kitchen team to help us consistently deliver our fresh, seasonal, and local food ethos in our Dartmoor Thatched Inn.

Hospitality Associate

At Bearslake Inn we are always looking to add talented individuals to our small and professional team. We have an exciting new position a to add to our team, Hospitality Associate. This role will require a successful candidate to have a positive attitude to working within hospitality and all that that encompasses.

Hours for this role will be flexible but will require the successful candidate to view this role as a full time role as we are hoping that as trade increases the role can develop into a salaried position. For now though it will be a competitive hourly paid position and will best suit someone looking for a flexible work life balance in line with business needs.

Predominantly split between bar and FOH restaurant any successful candidate will receive a full 'education' in hospitality from the ground up and would be a great starting point for somone looking to explore a career in our wonderful industry. The role will be a very hands on role and due to the location of Bearslake Inn will require any candidate to have sole access to their own mode of transport.

Experience (if only a basic understanding of the roles) is preferred but not essential as we will give onsite training in roles to the 'Bearslake way'.

On top of hourly rates of pay this role will include gratuities, staff discounts, onsite training and development.

Part-time hours: 20 per week
